Where’s the Sun? China Glaze Recycle and Happy Go Lucky

It was colder and cloudier than normal here yesterday. The bright side (pun intended) is that it motivated me to try China Glaze Recycle gray. It’s been out since 2008, but I haven’t joined the gray-loving bandwagon until the most current decade. Awhile back, Eva (from Miss Renaissance) included a simple, pretty manicure in her Weekly Color Inspiration post. It was called Sunshine & Fog. Here’s my take on the look. I used both matte and shiny topcoats. I like it. It actually looks sophisticated and not campy.

The China Glaze Recycle is topped with Matte topcoat by OPI by Sephora. The yellow is China Glaze Happy Go Lucky with a shiny topcoat (Seche Vite).  I think it would look even better with a softer yellow like China Glaze Lemon Fizz (here’s a swatch/review from Temptalia).

And one more pic that shows the shine vs. matte.
