Prep Rally: Pure Ice Free Spirit and China Glaze First Mate

When I think “preppy”, I think green, navy and white. I’m not sure why. But I do love the color combination. This is a simple tape mani. I started with a base of two coats of Pure Ice Free Spirit which has the slightest shimmer to it. After a coat of Seche Vite and 10 minutes, I diagonally taped off a little more than half the nail and polished one generous coat of OPI Alpine Snow. More Seche Vite, ten more minutes and more tape…then China Glaze First Mate on the tips.

The good news about a solid, thick mani is it definitely has staying power. The bad news (especially with dark polish) is the tip wear is fast and obvious.

Pretty, huh? I like it more than I thought I would. Again, I have all this new polish…yet I grab the same favorites!
