China Glaze I’m not a Lion with Black Chevrons
Okay, this is officially my favorite mani of all time (until the next one). It’s so simple, but I love it anyway. In my opinion, this is pure awesomeness.
This is two coats of China Glaze I’m not a Lion from the new On Safari Collection and small chevron stripes stamped in Konad Special Black. I cannot stop looking at my fingers! Check out that sparkle on the middle finger. Am I too excited? Yes. Probably.
Here’s a shot with flash. I only wish my chevrons were straighter. But that’s the obsessive-compulsive in me.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I was expecting the entire China Glaze On Safari Collection in some nail mail. I was not kidding. I got the whole thing…even the display (which was a surprise). This is a little more difficult to hide from my husband. So one down, eleven to go!
Disclosure: I have no material connection to the products used in this post.

“I only wish my chevrons were straighter. But that’s the obsessive-compulsive in me.”
*lol* Thank god I’m not the only one, my OCD-side is on full blast regarding my nails. ;-) I recently tried this tutorial for my stamping (http://www.alllacqueredup.com/2011/09/nail-art-tutorial-cnds-diy-river-rock-nail-decal-technique.html), meaning I used clear polish as base, stamped on that and then transfered it to my nails. It’s a little more time consuming that way, but it gives you much more control.
And I really like your blog, your designs and pictures are fantastic, and I was in total awe when I saw the picture of your workplace. :-)
Oh my goodness! How did I not know about this technique before?? Thanks for the tip and the kind comment! I officially outgrew my workplace yesterday with the new China Glaze’s and the Zoya America deal. I’ve never been on a NO BUY before…but I think it’s time. :)
Yeah, I promised myself just last week to cut back a little with new polishes, but then I saw swatches for the essence snow white LE and for China Glaze Safari, and well… Let’s just say I’m weak. ;-)
These look awesome!! I just did some stamping (in white) over I’m Not Lion. I love this polish, and I love this design you’ve done with it.
Thanks! It’s such a pretty glitter. Not too gold and not too silver. Very neutral. My favorite of the collection so far.
This is absolutely gorgeous. You always have the most amazing pictures. I don’t know why I still have been holding out on this glitter…
Don’t hold out, Cynthia. Just do it! LOL
