Watermelons with Essie and China Glaze I’m with the Lifeguard
I don’t have a good story about my inspiration for today’s mani. I picked up an untried Essie, saw it was called Watermelon…and went with it! My translation is fairly literal. I added neon green half moon “rinds” to go with this pretty melon-y pink polish.
I started with one coat of China Glaze I’m with the Lifeguard for the moons. Then I finished off with one generous coat of Watermelon. I find Essie to be a bit runny for my taste…but this one had good coverage. I was surprised though by how much the green base affected the color. The Watermelon is really much brighter.
I can’t believe summer is almost over! I need to enjoy these colors while I can!

Lovely!
Where are the black polka dots? And now I’m craving Friendly’s!!
I seriously contemplated naming this post “Friendly Watermelons” just to see if anyone would notice! For all you non-mid-westerners…Friendly’s ice cream makes a watermelon roll out of sorbet and it’s long been a family fave!
Loved your nails they look so summery and fruity ^_^
how can we do that? amazing!
I used regular office supply hole reinforcers to tape off the moons at my cuticle. So easy!
I actually love that you don’t have the “seeds” here. It’s subtle & sweet!
Pretty…Only black dots are missing. I guess!:)
