Experiment with Dior Graphic Berry
My posting has slowed considerably with the change of seasons. The reason? Not enough daylight. I leave for the office before the sun has risen and soon I won’t be returning until the sun has set. So I made it my mission this weekend to figure out how to take a decent, consistent, indoor photograph…night or day, rain or shine. I’m almost there. Thanks to google, I now know what all the fancy settings do on my camera. And if you saw the lightbox-ish contraption rigged in my polish room closet…you would be amused!
The polish I wore for this photography experiment is my very first Christian Dior Vernis, compliments of my sister for my birthday. This is Graphic Berry, a rich, berry creme. I am in love with this color!
The polish is super pigmented. I almost stopped at one coat. It’s obvious that whatever Dior puts in their secret sauce is different than what Wet N’ Wild puts in theirs. So I get why Dior is more expensive. But $23 is a LOT more for a third less polish than most brands (10 ml versus 15 ml). I also wasn’t a big fan of the brush. It’s wide with a round edge – which isn’t optimal for small, narrow nailbeds.
The verdict? This is a great splurge for a color that you just can’t do without. But for a “polish collector” like me, this is a slippery slope I can’t afford to ride. But it makes a fabulous gift!
Disclosure: I have no material connection to the products used in this post.

I hate taking pics in the Fall/Winter! I always try to get natural lighting, as I don’t have a lightbox, so my posting has slowed down a lot as well!
I REALLY love this color! But I’m sure I have something similar in my collection, I would’t have to spend so much for it!
I’m still getting the hang of it. One minute I love the pics and the next minute I think they’re too yellow or too light or too dark. I’ll never be satisfied! LOL
Wow what a great shade!!! Also your pics are great!
Thanks, Tara! In fact, YOU were the one that inspired me to figure out an indoor setup. Your pictures are always so clear. Sometimes I wonder if nail blogging is as much about the photography as the manis! :)
This is a gorgeous color!!
I agree. Thanks for reading!
Thx for the swatch as I have been reluctant to purchase Dior; $23 is a bit much!!
If Dior’s had a different brush…I might, maybe, think about getting more. It really is a nice creamy polish.
I love it! Can I borrow it?
Krista, you may RENT it. I need to recoup my investment. :)
That is a great color on you. I wish my pictures were better and I have a great camera that i am still after 6months trying to figure out how to us.
Same here. I’ve had my camera since May. Today was the first time I really buckled down and tried to “learn” it. The camera is way smarter than me!
Thanks for the review! My gosh, that color is simply stunning!
Stunning is right. I’m still sort of drooling over it!
Love this color!
And your pics are great :)
Thank you! I’m still getting the hang of it.
It is a lovely color! I’ll just admire your pics of it though, cause there’s no way I can justify that much for a 10ml bottle. Also, your pics are lovely!
gorgeous pics wow!!! loving this color its absolutely stunning!
