Wet N’ Wild Cougar Attack
I try to come up with a clever titles for my posts. But this time, I just couldn’t top the name of one of the polishes, Wet N Wild Spoiled Cougar Attack. I’m going to pretend it is so-called because it looks “dangerous” and “cougar-like” and not because it conjures up a vision of a mature woman on the prowl! I usually don’t go perusing the Wet N Wild Spoiled rack – but I’m always on the lookout for a good plain ole’ brown glitter polish (any ideas for one that’s not too copper?) and this one caught my eye. I was pleasantly surprised with it. It’s very coppery, but the dense glitter is suspended in a dark brown jelly base. It’s actually quite wearable all by itself and makes a great Fall polish.
But of course, I couldn’t leave well enough alone. So I followed Nailside’s Explosion Design Tutorial and added a China Glaze Harvest Moon explosion. Harvest Moon is a copper metallic from the Hunger Games Collection…also a great shade for the Fall.
I do not love this mani like I thought I would. In theory, it seemed like a cool idea to do a foil over a glitter (instead of the other way around), but my explosion gets lost on the nail. You really have to examine my nails closely to appreciate the design. I’d love to see a teal explosion over the glitter. That would pop.
Still, big thumbs up to Cougar Attack. At $1.99, it’s really a special polish.
Disclosure: At this time, I have no material connection to the brands or products used in this post.

LOVE this!!!!
Thank you!
Love that Cougar brown! I understand about wanting the explosion to POP. I love a monochrome look, but if you work hard on a design..you want to see it, eh? :)
I love the polish too…but I’m more disappointed in the pics. What’s even worse than a design that doesn’t POP is a decent design that you remove before you’ve checked if you had any good pics! :)
One of my favorites for sure! Did you get a useable brush? All of my Spoiled bottles have chunky brushes.
In my last post I said I poured it into a Franken since I knew I’d have to decant it to a bottle with a better brush.. Now I gotta go get more!! :)
OH and on llarowe’s shop there is a brand with a brown glitter!!!! I haven’t swatched it yet but I tried it and died over it!!!
Now that you mention it, the brush was kindy chunky. Uneven. Maybe you get what you pay for! I will check out the llarowe’s site for the brown glitter! Is the new site up and running? I haven’t checked it today.
It is now! And dangit, I can’t find that brown glitter… I thought it was a HITS polish, definitely a tall thin tube type of bottle like that. When I move next month, I’ll unpack it and swatch it on my site. :)
this is so pretty! love the combo.
Thank you Sara!
This is really pretty. I love how subtle it is.
Thanks! BTW…love the candy corn mani! I haven’t had a chance to stop in and comment yet.
Wow I NEED that glitter! I wish that Wet n Wild polishes were available in NZ. Think I might need to trawl the internet!
Those are soooooo pretty, I love the color combination!
I can’t believe you don’t love this! It’s great, I love the colors.
I love this mani! I like the subtlety of the copper on copper action and I must say, that I have a total girl crush on your nails, they look so perfect!
