A Leopard and its Stripes? Zoya Cho, Kristi & Raven
Today I have another super simple design (can you see a trend here?) I knew the three colors I wanted to use before I even knew what the design was! I chose Zoya Raven and Cho (I love black and nude together) and Zoya Kristi as a red accent. Then it just evolved into two leopard print accent nails and three nails striped in various widths.
I started with two coats of Zoya Cho on all my nails. For the leopard print, I followed Chalkboard Nails’ brilliantly easy tutorial (find it here). Anyone can do this. It is totally and seriously foolproof! I dotted blobs of the red Kristi and then dotted Raven around the perimeter of each.
Finally, I used striping tape to tape off each nail in varying widths. For the pinky and pointer, I painted in between every other line of striping tape with a small nail art brush to create the thicker lines. For the middle finger, I polished over the entire nail with Raven using the polish brush. I immediately removed the striping tape after painting each nail.
In person, this looks like it took hours. I can’t stop looking at it. :)

Excellent job! This looks awesome!
Thank you! Thanks for reading!
Nice nail design!!!
Great
Thanks, Brooklyn. I appreciate you stopping by!
That’s far from simple but it is really nice! The strips and the print make so much sense together. Thanks for sharing. :)
Thanks…I really like the stripes and animal print together. This would be cool in black, white and neon pink, I think.
This is SO cool!!! I haven’t tried the leopard design but Sarah’s tutorial makes it look so easy that even a nail art newbie like me can manage to make it look halfway decent!
I know. Leopard always seemed so complicated before I watched it. It’s almost like the faster I go…the better it turns out. :)
Congratulations! I have nominated your blog for the Super Sweet Blogger Award! http://wp.me/p1BAZi-oa
Thank you, Alia!
I. AM. DYING. OVER. YOUR. LEOPARD.
YOU. ALWAYS. MAKE. ME. LAUGH. Seriously, you want to be my BFF?
YES I DO!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the combination of the stripes and leopard! It really looks like it took hours. If I were to try to do it on both hands, it might just take a whole day haha
The other hand was a little more challenging…but not by much! The good news is with the striping tape you can get the lines perfect before you even polish.
i need striping tape ASAP. i loved this manicure, reminds me of one I did when i was starting this nail polish addiction
I find I use striping tape all the time, so it’s good to have handy. :)
i dont have stripping tape in my country… i’ve looked for it.. but i havent found it.. so i need to order it online, i’m doing this big wish list to order everything together and receive it before christmas.
Love this manicure! Absolutely love it!
Thank you! And thanks for taking the time to tell me. :)

Thanks. I know exactly what you mean. :)
I’m in love!
Thanks, Kelli. This is one of my fave manis.
