Winter Dots over China Glaze Dorothy Who?
My mani today is a winter reboot of a fall mani I did awhile back…which was a reboot of someone else’s mani from awhile back (are there any original ideas left in the world?) All joking aside, if you’re ever drawing a blank, it’s a good exercise to take an old mani that you really liked and switch up the color palette. You never know what you’ll come up with! In this case, I like my new version better than my original.
I started with two coats of China Glaze Dorothy Who? This is one of those polishes that I always squeal over after I get it on. It’s a blue jelly base with blue and silver micro-glitter. It’s stunningly awesome. Really.
I used the large plastic end of a sewing pin to make larger dots toward the tip in Sally Hansen White On and Celeb City. Then I switched to a small dotting tool to fill in the space and create smaller dots toward the cuticle.
This mani reminds me of crisp snow. But in no way am I ready for winter!

It is festive. I’m still wearing it and everytime I catch my nails out of the corner of my eye, I’m like “oooooh” like a big dork.

I love this mani! Its perfect for winter holidays but I can’t help but thinking I’m not ready for Christmastime manis! lol Its beautiful though and I’m going to have to recreate it!
