It’s the final day of Digit-al Dozen Fashion Week. This mani is simple, but I love how it mimics the inspiration with a slightly warmer color palette. This is a look from the Carolina Herrera Fall 2013 Ready to Wear line. Two polishes from the new Zoya Cashmeres Collection were perfect for this design: Flynn and Hunter. I also used Zoya Cho and a black striper. [click the pic for a closer look]
First, I polished the entire nail with Cho, a neutral beige cream. I created the stripes by taping off some lines, as well as freehanding some edges with a striping brush. Zoya Flynn is the warm camel brown and Hunter is the dark green. I continued to clean up lines, switching back and forth between colors until I was satisfied. I’m not sure how long it took…but it was awhile! I finished with two coats of topcoat to smooth out any unevenness between the stripes. Want to hear something really sad? I had to take it off as soon as I was finished!
All of the polishes in the Zoya Cashmeres Collection are beautiful cremes in cozy fall colors. (See the full press release here.) I LOVE cremes and I love all six colors in this collection. I tried Flynn and Hunter in this nail art look, of course. And I’ve also worn Sailor (navy) and Livingston (red). The formula on these shades was flawless, as expected. Zoya does a great creme. Zoya Cashmeres retail for $8.00 ea. (US). They’re available at Zoya.com, select stores and spas and in ULTA beauty stores (not online).
Show some love to the other Digit-al Dozen Fashion manis. I had so much fun with this theme! Next month marks one year since the birth of the Digit-al Dozen. We have an awesome September planned so stay tuned!
