It’s Monday…again! They just keep coming no matter how hard I wish them away. But today isn’t so bad because I have the entire Polished by KPT Fall Collection and a Rainbow Shop (UK) exclusive to swatch for you! This indie is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I would have posted these sooner, but my pesky day job, and the fact that I swatched them all TWICE, delayed things a bit. There’s lots to show you…so let’s get started!
Katherine knows her thermals. If you’re not familiar with how it works, the thermal polish color change will magically appear at 86ᵒF and will retain the color as long as the temperature remains at or above 86ᵒF. As it cools, it will return to it’s “normal” shade. Depending on your body temp, “default” shades may vary. For the photos below, I ran my hands under warm water, then dipped the tips into cool water.
La Catrina is a light fern green when warm and a beautiful purply taupe when cool. This is so unique. I’m not sure how mixing thermal polishes works, but it’s magic. LOL. Isn’t that an amazing color combo? My swatch is two coats.
Blood as Thick as Gold is a pale, pink-leaning nude when warm and deep, blood red when cold. See those gold flakes in there? Awesome! My swatch is two coats.
Night Crawler changes in both finish and color. When warm, it’s pretty sheer with a slightly blurple tint. When cool, it changes to a red/blue duochrome (which isn’t as obvious in my photo…but it’s there!) My swatch is two coats.
Country Road is amazing. It adds a textural component. When warm, it’s a deep coppery shimmer. When cool, it’s a dark brown with a golden shimmer. This is perfect for the season. My swatch is two coats.
Harvest Moon is both thermal and holographic. When warm, it’s simply a clean, clear shimmer. When cool, it changes to a cozy, burnt orange holo. I have such a hard time photographing oranges and nude tones…so my pic is a little off. Trust me that this is gorgeous. My swatch is three thin coats.
RAINBOW CONNECTION (UK) EXCLUSIVE: Siren’s Song is blue and purple hex glitters and holographic particles in a teal blue base. There are so many of my favorite things in this polish. It’s holo, teal, has a light glitter load, changes colors…on and on. This polish isn’t officially part of the Fall Collection. It will be available exclusively at Rainbow Connection and can be pre-ordered starting Sunday.
Inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting, Polished by KPTs Starry Night is a fun blue jelly with stars, moons and other holographic glitters, plus some glass fleck for shimmer. My swatch is two coats.
Gloomy October is a crelly which Katherine describes as a “hazy, gloomy day in the Fall.” The base is a warm, gray-tinted white filled with multi-sized and shaped red, blue, purple and brown glitters. My swatch is three coats.
Corrupted Soul is the lone Glitter Topper of the bunch. It’s a smorgasbord of colors and shapes (including my beloved circles!) You’ll find blue, silver, gold, red, blue, purple, holo…and more in here. My swatch is one coat over Polished by KPT Being in the Pink.
And finally, what would a Fall Collection be without a fun Glow in the Dark shade! Amor is an orange red jelly that glows super bright! I used three thin coats.
This photo was shot under blacklight. Cool, isn’t it?!
These lovelies retail for $9 each (15ml bottle). The pre-order is currently SOLD OUT, but there’s a restock on the way!! In addition to polish, Katherine also sells beautiful polish jewelry. You can shop Polished by KPT at her Big Cartel site. If you’re outside of the US, she has several international stockists. Click here to see the list.
