I love nail polish. I love swatching nail polish. And I’m very fortunate that I get a lot of nail polish to swatch. Sometimes TOO much. But occasionally, a collection comes in that makes me want to stop everything and swatch it…but I can’t. I must be patient and put the collection in line with the others. Well the Fall NCLA North of Sunset Collection was one of those collections. I’ve been dying to get my hands on these (or rather…get these on my hands) since Cosmoprof North America in July!! [Warning: I’m sporting some shorties. Lots of mum planting going on here in the Midwest. But these polishes are still beautiful, no matter the nail length.] This collection has four beauties. I LOVE small collections (seriously); especially when every polish is so special.
I’ll start with my fave. My Dad Invented That has a black base with ultrafine glitters in predominately silver and black…along with every other color…ever. It’s gorgeous. It’s breathtaking. It’s one of the coolest polishes I’ve tried all year. And I rarely make a statement like that!
The Spa Comes to Me is a smooth crème shade of relaxed Army green. It’s perfect for Fall.
Laurel Canyon Lolita had me at the first glance because of its berry flavor. NCLA describes it as a “grown up fuchsia”. I love it…no matter what you call it.
And last, but certainly not least, is Dead End Gorgeous. It’s like a galaxy mani in a bottle. It’s loaded with navy and violet glitter and it’s amazing in and out of the light. My pics don’t do this one justice. It’s a serious winter must-have.
NCLA is hitting it out of the park. It’s like they are channeling my brain with the new polish releases. This is my fave mainstream release of the Fall! And the formula is impeccable. All swatches are two coats of polish and one coat of G&G HK Girl topcoat.
