Last weekend, my favorite first-grader came to The Mani Cave to help me show off a few goodies from the China Glaze Monster’s Ball Collection. The entire collection includes six polishes: four glitters, a texture and a glow-in-the-dark topcoat (see original press release here). Today I have three of them.
Let’s start with my guest model, the obvious star of this post! She’s sporting Ghoulish Glow, a glow-in-the-dark topcoat and a staple in CG Halloween Collections. The glow is fairly strong with a slightly green tint. [TIP: Do your cleanup under a black light so your mani is tidy even in the dark!] I’m not sure who was more excited about this…her or her little brother! (It has a clear, matte sheen…so polish up your boys for trick or treat…fun!)
She requested for her base a “real” zebra print. I started with two coats of China Glaze Snow and a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward quick-dry topcoat. After it was dry, I stamped the zebra pattern using Konad plate M-223 and China Glaze Liquid Leather. Here’s how the mani looked before Ghoulish Glow. She’s stylin’, right?? Love her.
The next two polishes are just as exciting, however you’ll have to settle for boring ole’ me. :) Bump in the Night is a pure black textured polish. This is a single coat. Can you believe that? The finish is grainy, but shiny…perfect for Halloween.
And finally, I have Fang-tastic, a mix of fuchsia, blue and green glitters. It doesn’t scream Halloween to me (no pun intended, of course), but it’s a beautiful polish. I’ve used two coats over a base of China Glaze Make an Entrance, one of my all-time favorite medium pinks.
