I have a fun new indie today! Coincidentally, it’s called F.U.N. Lacquer (Fabulously Unique Nails) and the polish is handmade by Yuin in Singapore. Her first collection is called the Princess Collection and she was busy! It contains 11 holos in a range of shades from sweet to neutral. Impressive!
Today I have six pretties to show you…all from the neutral end of the spectrum. You all know that neutral holos hold a special place in my heart. I can wear them to work and feel like a rebel! I’ll start with my absolute favorite! Merida is a rusty brown with a pink shimmer and a strong holo (even indoors).
Tiana is a light, fern green holo that leans yellow. The holo effect is delicate, but obvious.
Mulan is a gorgeous, soft neutral holo. It was so close to my skin tone, that it was difficult to photograph. This one is truly perfect for me for work.
Pocahontas is a unique, warm, coppery brown. Check out that fine scattered holo effect! It screams autumn to me.
Belle looks very similar to Pocahontas in the bottle, but you can see it’s more of yellow gold. It’s beautiful.
And finally we have Jasmine, a pretty, soft sky blue with a fine, but dazzling holo effect.
My indoor lighting setup isn’t the best for capturing the holo rainbow, but it was present in each swatch. All six I tried had a great formula and were opaque in 2 coats. Topcoat didn’t dampen the holo effect at all (I used G&G HK Girl). The bottles are generously sized. 16.7mL in a full-sized and 7mL in a mini. I also like the skinny caps and dense brush. It’s obvious that Yuin put a lot of heart, thought and effort into her first line. It shows! She’s definitely one to watch.
