Ahhhh…it’s finally starting to feel like Spring around here! What a crazy winter! At least last season’s insane cold makes me even more grateful for the light, springy polish collections! Today I have swatches of the Spring 2014 Zoya Awaken Collection (original press release here). I love the soft, but punchy, rainbow and the mix of cremes and shimmers!
Dillon has got to be my fave. I’ve never been a green polish fan, but I love the mints! This one has a beautiful silver shimmer. I used two generous coats for opacity.
Dot is a soft pink creme. This was originally released as part of the Zang Toi Spring 2014 Collection. I’m all about pretty pink cremes, so no complaints here colorwise! This was a bit sheer and a little streaky at first. I used three coats for my swatch below.
Hudson is the purple version of Dillon. It’s a medium lilac/lavender shade with silver shimmer. I thought the formula was perfect and I love the clean, purple result! My swatch is two coats.
Cole is a super soft, medium orange/peach creme. I don’t love this shade on me, but it’s a beautiful color. My camera is notoriously bad with oranges. In real life, Cole is a bit more melon-y, if that makes sense. Like Dot, I had to use three coats to get everything smooth and even.
Zoya describes Brooklyn as a “white-gold metallic shimmer”. It’s more yellow-gold than I expected, but still very pretty. Yellows don’t work well on me, but I thought this was nice. Its metallic finish shows some brush strokes, but otherwise, the formula was good. This is two coats.
And last, but not least, Rebel (my second fave) is a light sky blue metallic with a silvery shimmer. The formula was flawless. This is two easy coats.
This Spring, Zoya also released Monet, a “multi-colored, cellophane holographic special effect topper”! (Is that a mouthful or what?) Cellophane truly looks different over any color…so I imagine it would be amazing over any color in the Awaken Collection. (Can you believe I forgot to swatch it?!?! I will!) All swatches in this post are finished with one coat of Zoya Armor topcoat.
I’m so ready for these colors and Zoya never disappoints! What do you think? Do you have any of these yet?
