Good morning! Today I have another awesome Polished by KPT/Serum No. 5 Collaboration to show you. The last box “Spring Fling” is on its way to an international giveaway winner in Singapore! The “Summer Fling” manicure box will be available at the end of August. This specially curated kit contains a Polished by KPT thermal, Do You Wanna Fanta?, and a Serum No. 5 glow-in-the-dark, What a Blast. More info on this box after the swatches.
Do You Wanna Fanta? may just be my favorite thermal ever. I love the combo of colors – especially for summer. It’s a warm sensitive thermal which starts out a bright orange and turns an awesome watermelon pink with a touch of sparkle when warm. My swatch is two easy coats.
What A Blast has a clear base filled with red, white and blue glitter and silver stars. The base glows white in the dark. Serum No. 5 recommends swatching this over white to get the best glow. The glitter payoff was so good that I wanted to try it without a base. I was able to get it opaque in only two coats (with a little strategic dabbing).
My tip to keep heavy glitters from looking thick on the nail is to finish with a generous coat of quick-dry topcoat and let it barely dry to the touch. Then I take my fingertip and sort of push and mold the nail into shape. I finish with another generous coat of topcoat to smooth things out and cover any fingerprints. My “glow” swatch was done with a black light.
The Summer Fling Box will include the following: (box contents options may be slightly different depending on where you purchase)
- One cuticle oil (Hungarian Lavender OR Anti-Aging Mandarin Orange)
- One sheet of water decal nail art
- Four nail charms OR studs (100-200 pieces)
The Polished by KPT and Serum No. 5 Summer Fling Manicure Box Set will retail for $27.50 and can be purchased soon from Polished by KPT or Serum No. 5. Follow them both on social media for restock news and availability.
