I Love Nail Polish (ILNP) Holos Swatch and Review

Disclosure: Products in this post were provided by ILNP.

Today will be a rare day with two posts. I love Digit-al Dozen week – but I hate to delay swatching polish that deserves to be swatched! My third Digit-al Dozen bling mani will be posted this afternoon. Sorry in advance for SPAMMING my email subscribers!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I recently received a beautiful package of goodies from Barbra at I Love Nail Polish (ILNP). This was seriously like Christmas for me. I love ILNP nail polish (ILILNPNP - I need a bumper sticker!)  Today I have four polishes from her new holographic line, three jewel-toned colors and one clear topcoat. All have an ultra-fine, scattered holo effect. It’s subtle…but not quite as subtle as my photos depict…my indoor shots don’t do the rainbow-y goodness justice. All four polishes really come to life in the sun.

First up is Grape Alicious. The name is perfect. It’s a deep, eye-catching Welch’s Grape Juice purple. It’s really spectacular outdoors. My swatch is three coats.

Digit-al Dozen Does Bling: Sparkle Tipped French with KISS Decals

It’s Day 2 of Digit-al Dozen Bling Week. Oh how I struggled this week. I just don’t have an arsenal of flashy techniques in my tool set. (Translation: I’m boring.) But alas, I made the most of it. In my mind, today’s mani is borderline tack-a-licious. But I love it still!

Digit-al Dozen Does Bling: Blingy Quilted Design and May Nail Art Society Kit

Disclosure: Some products in this post were provided by the manufacturer, their PR firm or retailer.

Good morning! I can’t believe it’s Monday already! But it’s not just any Monday…it’s the first day of Digit-al Dozen Week! This month’s theme is “bling”. Bling may not be the first (or even fiftieth) word someone would use to describe me, but I tried to have fun with it. Luckily I just received my very first Nail Art Society kit (more details on that later in this post). It contained all sorts of goodies that were perfect for this week. I loooove my first mani! It’s a quilted design accented with faux rhinestones.

OPI Couture de Minnie Collection Swatches and Review

Disclosure: Products in this post were provided by the manufacturer, their PR firm or retailer for my review.

Friday is here! Feels good, doesn’t it? I have fun collection to show you today, the OPI Couture de Minnie Collection. It includes four limited edition polishes and one new Liquid Sand shade. This collection is inspired by a more “fashion-forward” Minnie Mouse. All of the colors are reds and pinks – but there’s a wide range of textures and shades to give it variety.

I’ll start with my surprise favorite, Innie Minnie Mightie Bow. This polish is a crimson red with a fine gold shimmer. Think of it as the less flamboyant, baby sister of The Spy Who Loved Me. Innie Minnie Mightie Bow has a similar red shade with but with a much more subtle gold effect. I don’t know why I like this one so much…but I do. The formula was nice. This is two easy coats.

Misa Summer 2013 Fresh & Fruity Collection Skittles

On Monday I used my first Nails Inc. polish. And today I have another brand that’s new to me – Misa. I don’t know a lot about Misa, but what I’ve read has all been positive. I thought I’d see for myself and bought the Misa Summer 2013 Fresh & Fruity Collection (you know, because I can’t just buy one…I need the full set). The colors looked so nice lined up in a row together. Plus my cuticles are screaming “Stop swatching!” So I decided to do a pretty Skittles mani instead.

Simple Tape Mani with Nails Inc. Sprinkles Pudding Lane

Happy Monday! The weekends go by way too fast! Thanks to everyone who entered my Extreme Blog Makeover + First Blogiversary Giveaway! I’ll be choosing the winners tonight. For today, I have a simple tape mani using Nails Inc. Sprinkles in Pudding Lane. For the accents I taped off triangles and polished with Zoya Song. Song is so dense and pigmented. It covered up the Pudding Lane easy peasy. I set out to make identical triangles on every nail. But my first two weren’t even remotely similar. So I made the others different also in an attempt to make appear that I did it on purpose. :)

ellagee You’re the Top! Collection Swatches & Review

Disclosure: Products in this post were provided by the manufacturer, their PR firm or retailer.

ellagee is a new name in indies. I actually crossed paths with Laura, the maker of ellagee, many moons ago when she and I swapped the “blogger only” and “store only” versions of Pure Ice Sugar Cookie. One day she mentioned she might like to make polish – and in the blink of an eye, this overachiever had a logo, a store, two polish collections and really a beautiful product!

The You’re the Top! Collection is based on the old standards from the 1930’s and 40’s. These glitter-filled, clear-based topcoats add life to any manicure. I’m honestly super impressed. Her base is really smooth and easy to apply and her glitter combos are smart and delicate. You may think I’m just saying this because I know her…but take a look at the pics and decide for yourself. :)

I’ll start with my unexpected favorite. Crazy He Calls Me is a rainbow glitter explosion! It’s not the look I usually go for, so I didn’t think I would like it. But I actually love it! I used one coat of Crazy He Calls Me over three coats of China Glaze Creative Fantasy.
