PART 1: China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil Swatches & Review

Happy Saturday! Today I have six polishes from the China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil Collection – the cremes and a jelly (?) Tomorrow I’ll show you the glitters and shimmers. So let’s jump right in.

Escaping Reality is a hot pink creme. You can never have too many hot pink cremes! We’re only a few weeks into Fall and already it seems like ages since I’ve worn a color like this! Formula was great on this one. I used two coats and a coat of Seche Vite. Without the topcoat, it has a satiny, rubbery finish…which is cool…but I was on autopilot and mindlessly slathered on the topcoat!

Sinful Colors Neptune

Shew…between my day job, daily posts and decorating The Mani Cave…my schedule is packed. I’d hoped to bring you the first half of the China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil Collection swatches – but I didn’t get that far. So instead I’m bringing you a swatch from the archives, Sinful Colors Neptune, a beautiful medium dusty blue with tons of silver shimmer.

The Mani Cave: Navy, White and Pink

Welcome to my weekly update of The Mani Cave (TMC)! In my first post, I referred to it as the TPR (The Polish Room)…but I received overwhelming feedback that my husband’s moniker “The Mani Cave” was better. So TMC it is!

So now on to the update…over the past week I’ve toiled over the color palette. Originally I wanted to go with a gray and teal theme; but I worried about it not being family friendly enough (i.e., hubby wouldn’t be caught dead in there). I wanted something more “grown up” but still unexpected. Then this photo caught my eye and it was all she wrote! The room will be navy, white and pink! Sound familiar? They’re the colors in my Zoya Explosion mani yesterday!

Dashing Diva Carnivale

No. I didn’t just call myself a Dashing Diva. That’s the brand of nail appliques I’m sporting in today’s mani. Why’s everyone got to be a diva these days? (Says the girl with hundreds of bottles of polish!)

Zoya Crochet Blanket

I’ve wanted to do a mani based on this crochet piece for forever. This super creative design of teals and blues is by Miss Lila Mae. I used all Zoya polishes to create my version. I painted all my nails Pinta, a beautiful deep purple…except my ring fingers. Then I used a small brush and several other Zoya colors to freehand the pattern.
