Color Club A Winter Affair

I’m back. I’m trying to get into a routine Sunday blog break, but this weekend we were busy with household projects (including The Mani Cave) so I took Saturday off too. Speaking of the TMC, I hope I have a decent update ready for you on Wednesday. As of today, my quest for the perfect polish rack system is losing altitude and airspeed. But fortunately hubs and I may have discovered a solution. Okay…more on that Wednesday. For today I have a Color Club Winter Affair Duo mani to show you. These polishes are part of the 2012 Holiday Collection.

Venique Pump Up the Jam

I’ve seen the Venique brand for awhile now at Cosmoprof, but it wasn’t until I saw the mini packs that it seemed worth it to give it a shot. I bought a four pack of their summer collection, Desire to be Desired. My kit (called Colors of Desire) contained Havanah Glam, Pump up the Jam, Side Walk Surfer and Galoshes Glow. Now let me tell you…these minis are MINIs. No full size brush here. Lots of effort to polish your nails with this trial size, but I managed.

Today I have a swatch of Pump up the Jam, a pretty pinky pink. I’m not sure why I don’t have more pinks like this. They look nice on me and I can wear them to work, which is even better. Pump up the Jam went on smooth. I immediately noticed a cool iridescence about it…a lavendar shimmer in some light. I really like it. I’d call it a sophisticated bubble gum pink!
